Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2025

1. Acceptance

By using MeshGrade (meshgrade.com) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What MeshGrade is

MeshGrade is a free, browser-based 3D model performance grader. It analyses GLB and glTF files locally in your browser and produces a diagnostic report. It also offers a manual, done-for-you model optimisation service on request.

3. The grader is free; the optimisation service is paid

The in-browser grader is provided at no charge. The optimisation service is a separate, manually delivered service quoted per project. No payment is taken through this website — all commercial arrangements are agreed by email before any work begins.

4. Your files

You retain full ownership of any 3D model files you upload. By submitting a file via the quote form you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and review the file solely for the purpose of preparing an optimisation quote or delivering the agreed optimisation work. We will not share, reproduce or commercialise your files. Files are deleted within 90 days of submission unless a longer retention period is agreed in writing.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit files that you do not have the right to share
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape or abuse the service
  • Use automated scripts to submit bulk quote requests
  • Submit files containing malware or malicious code

6. Accuracy of the grade

The performance grade is a diagnostic estimate based on widely used platform benchmarks (Shopify, Meta Quest, WebGL production targets). It is provided for informational purposes. We make no warranty that a model meeting the grade targets will perform identically on every platform, device or renderer. Use the grade as a guide, not an absolute guarantee.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MeshGrade and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service.

9. Changes to the service

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. We will try to give reasonable advance notice of significant changes.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
